It’s sunny, and I have the window open. It’s nice painting with oils and being able to breath in the fresh outside air. The best.

To Share or not to share?
I have not been sharing lately. My art, that is.
I spent december scrambling to finish Christmas presents.. including a first draft of a children’s book (for adults?)… and January Renovating the basement, and redecorating upstairs..
There was a point where I thought last month that maybe I didn’t want to share the things I make and do, especially the process.. I started to become overprotective, and secretive..
But I have come to realize that sharing is a part of the process now too. Artists need to share their creativity.. The process as well as the results… it makes me happy to see my creations in the virtual world.
So I am doing a little tiny drawing tonight… a little sneak peak.
Adding in colour. & being Thankful.
I love long weekends. It’s enough time to be lazy and productive.
Feeling thankful for this extra time to work on my art—and clean the house (I even clean and organized my kitchen cupboards), spending lazy time napping on the couch, baking, family, reacquainting myself to tea time, cuddling with my dogs, appreciating fall colours, my handsome man (who drew and painted too for the first time in a long time!). 🙂
At home with art.
oldie, but goodie.
this painting is about five years old.
It hangs in our front entry…I pass by it several times a day.
Today I stopped and remembered what I was thinking when I painted it, and the moment the image originated.
A windy summer day at Ruby lake…Disposable cameras, dreaming, thinking and falling in love.
