To Share or not to share?

I have not been sharing lately. My art, that is.
I spent december scrambling to finish Christmas presents.. including a first draft of a children’s book (for adults?)… and January Renovating the basement, and redecorating upstairs..
There was a point where I thought last month that maybe I didn’t want to share the things I make and do, especially the process.. I started to become overprotective, and secretive..
But I have come to realize that sharing is a part of the process now too. Artists need to share their creativity.. The process as well as the results… it makes me happy to see my creations in the virtual world.

So I am doing a little tiny drawing tonight… a little sneak peak.

Time & Space.

Does the address really matter?

The location, the square footage, the design, or the details…
or just the feeling?

there are basics to houses like having the rooms that one needs to ‘live’: a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room….

but what makes it a home?

we go beyond to want something that feels safe, comfortable, and structurally sound.
A place to relax in, a place to be creative in, a space to work in, to hang out in, a space to entertain in, an outdoor space, and a place to store and display our things too!

We spend so much time, money, love, in these spaces we call home.

The amount of space we need is dependent on maybe—what we grew up with to expect, or maybe what we think we can afford, or even what we can actually afford, and ultimately timing in our lives.

Making a house/a home is something that can be done to just about anywhere…

Maybe it’s all just a state of mind.

Could i, you, we, be happy there?

I imagine myself, my life, our life, there…. what would be different?

dwell.

dwell—dwelling

a building or other place to live in; place of residence; abode.
to live or stay as a permanent resident; reside.
to exist or continue in a given condition or state.
dwell on or upon, to think, speak, or write about at length or with persistence; linger over.

Dwelling

I’m writing a children’s storybook.

So many different ways I could write and illustrate this story…
I can’t make it have too many morals and too many stories and too many characters I feel like I have enough story ideas for at least 5 books.
I’ll just pick one idea and go from there.

drinking prosecco and raspberry juice.

maybe this is turning into an arts & crafts & drinking blog?
