I almost always do an underpainting in Acrylic first: it dries faster, and I can get the overall image depicted, and the consecutive layers are in oil, the colour is so much richer, glossier, and I really just like the feel of it more.
I’m the worst at cleaning my brushes. I use them and plop them in a bucket of walnut oil instead of cleaning them out thoroughly…. I buy more… just so I do not have to clean them…
I really cannot afford to keep doing this.
they seemed to have survived their yearly cleaning though…. a little gunky… but still usable!
Two new paintings added at Modern Country Interiors Saskatoon on 808 Broadway Ave
“There”, “and There.”
Come check them out! The Saskatoon Fringe is on until August 10th as well!
I started collecting teacups years ago.
Each of them has a significance: Gifted by someone I love, something I picked up travelling around, or even inherited by someone who passed away.
It’s funny: I don’t drink tea from them. Although I do have romantic ideas about having a tea party someday. They maybe have become too sacred to use at this point.
